What To Expect From Us
The St Andrew's Family Support Project aims to help families who are vulnerable and socially isolated because the parents are aged 21 years
and under. We do this by the following:
-
Parents are supported to develop positive interactions and play skills with their children
-
Children are valued as individuals and that their parents are empowered to promote the well-being of their children, mentally, spiritually
and physically, including access to services and statutory support if needed.
-
Families are able to learn through interaction, such as play, art, craft, cookery, expressive arts, music etc. and have enriched lives through
those experiences.
-
Parents and their children, who attend the project are helped to recognise their full potential as individuals and become valued and accepted
contributors to the community.
-
Those able to move to employment, education or other volunteering opportunities are supported to do so.
-
Those able to move from receiving supporting the project to giving support as parent-volunteers are enabled to do so.
